Is the fasination with Peter and Jordan ever going to end?

I was once excited about Jordan and Peter becoming a couple, I followed everything they did in the press and tuned in to watch the most over exaggerated wedding of the year. They were so happy and I couldn't wait to see what the couple would get up to next.

I admit, I am a fan of Katie Price. I have all her books and admire her business skills; she used the money from glamour modelling to launch herself in many different business's such as lingerie, books, perfume and fashion. I still read her books today and was very excited about the launch of Sapphire.

However even the most dedicated fan must be getting annoyed and, quite frankly, bored of reading about Jordan and Peter's divorce. Hundreds of people are currently going through a divorce or a seperation and it isn't reported everywhere but this couples split is being majorly over covered.
Every snipe and childish attack on each other is shown on the television or in the magazines, even to the point they both have there own reality television show.

The latest in the scandal is Jordan claiming that she was raped by a "famous celebrity" and that Pete knew who this man was. Pete denied this and hell has ensued. Entering the shops I was bombarded with headlines of Jordan and Peters latest snipe!!

Now I realise that this is currently selling magazines and making profit, but when are we going to ignore them and move on to a celebrity that is doing whats worth following?

Yet another domestic abuse advert...who is standing up for the men?

I went to the cinema recently to watch a movie, during the familiar adverts I was shocked to see yet another domestic abuse advert. It featured Keira Knightley plays a successful actress who comes home and is beaten up by her boyfriend with the catch line "Whens it time for someone to say cut?" (A play on the career of Keira Knightley)

While I'm all for women being protected from brutish men who decide it would be fun to kick them around. Wheres the advert featuring MEN being beaten by women, I know people aren't naive enough to think that this doesn't happen but I do think nothing is being done.

A friend of mine recently stated "I don't understand how a women can beat up a man, if he wanted to restrain her he could"
This is a point raised by many of my friends and I understand where they are coming from but men don't suffer from just physical abuse, many women physically abuse them till they think that they are nothing. This stops them feeling adequate enough to defend themselves when the physical attack starts.

Abuse can take any forms such as:
Financial abuse
Sexual Abuse
Physical Abuse
Discrimination
Neglect

I have been an avid supporter of MensAid, as I feel that not enough, if any, media attention is brought to the problem of men suffering at the hands of women. Its not just male domestic abuse that is not seen, it is any of the taboo subjects such as male rape. I feel that this needs more attention brought to it, it doesn't need to be graphic but it does need to bring enough attention that people start to realise the problems that men are faced with today.

During a research project I conducted in college, I found out shocking events that had happened to men and then they had been arrested, for instance a man was stabbed by his wife. When he was in the hospital he had to be resuscitated but the police arrested him; now how is this fair?
There are occasional speeches given by supporters of MensAid but this is not enough, I think we need to have articles, features and pictures showing that men can suffer abuse to.

This does not mean that I am bored of womensaid cause I really do think that women need help to but I feel that society needs to open its eyes and start protecting both sexes. We say that we are over the feminist views yet thinking like this still exists today!!
